My name is Carolina Proença, and I am a Psychology student from Brazil. I am also studying multimedia journalism, where I am learning how to share stories through writing, audio, video, and visual media. I enjoy discovering new ways to communicate ideas and connect with different people.
This website is a place for me to share my projects and show how my skills are developing throughout this course. Each project is an opportunity to practice storytelling in a creative way and to explore how media can influence people’s understanding of important topics.
I am especially interested in issues related to mental health, which is an area I care about deeply. My goal is to combine what I know from psychology with the tools of journalism to create meaningful stories. I hope to use these skills to encourage conversations, raise awareness, and make a positive difference in the community.

Hi! My name is Renata, and I’m from Mexico. I’m a psychology student at TRU and also minoring in sociology. I’ve always been curious about why people think and act the way they do, and I love finding new ways to look at everyday situations.
For me, taking time to reflect on social situations is so important. When we slow down and really think about what’s happening around us, we can learn a lot—not just about others, but about ourselves too. I believe that this kind of reflection is the first step toward making real, meaningful changes in how we connect with the world.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, doing anything crafty, and listening to music. I work with kids with autism and absolutely love it—it’s such a rewarding experience. In the future, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in counselling so I can keep helping others grow.
